Are your rubs gluten-free / allergen-friendly?

Yes, all of our products are gluten-free, vegan, nut-free, dairy-free, and additive-free. Check the labels for any additional allergian concerns.

How much rub should I use?

Use about 1 tablespoon per pound, or enough to fully coat the surface without caking. Don’t be shy. Coverage = flavour.

When should I apply the rub?

Anywhere from 15 minutes to overnight. The longer rest times allow salt and spices to penetrate more deeply. More time = deeper flavor.

Can I use these in the oven?

Absolutely, while our rubs are designed for BBQs, smokers and grills, you can always use them in the oven, pan-frying, and even as a seasoning in your mac & cheese, BBQ sauces and on veggies & potatoes.

Do I need oil or mustard first?

Not necessarily, but a light coat of oil or mustard can help the rub adhere and form a better bark.
